THRESHOLD

The Cambridge dictonary defines it as:

threshold (LEVEL)   Show phonetics
noun [C usually singular]
the level or point at which you start to experience something, or at which something starts to happen

Each of us have different levels of a real or perceived "glass ceiling" for situations we face or things around us. Sometimes we push those glass ceilings and feelings of discomfort to another level depending on our motivations and physical ability to tolerate those things.

Some call it simply moving out of your comfort zone. Others view it more abstractly, saying that forebearance nutures one character that to be able to cultivate patience and long suffering is a virtue.

While others simply view it as a time to move on to greener pastures, or that change is simply a part of life to be embraced, accepted and cherished…

I am facing one such crossroad at this point. Not that it’s the first but I do wonder how many of these junctions I would have to cross in my lifetime. The decision of whether to turn left, right, move forward when the lights change or to simply stay rooted to the position that I I find myself in.

Am I just reacting to the situation? Or is there a deeper motivation that remains unsatisfied in my life that I am constantly still in search of? I wish the answers were more forthcoming.

Well either way, I will be writing soon to expound the millions of thoughts and ideas welling in my head, with the risk of exploding soon if they are not given the relief of a verbal outlet.

………………..thoughts anyone?

EventS SpecialisT?

October 22nd, 2005 by jamiechoo

HOWDY ya all,

I am writing now after two days of non-stop camping in the office…coffees for lunch..one meal a day working life…and not to mention my dear hubby having to wait for me at Mount Faber where I live and work till 2am almost in the morning supervising a setup for a client’s seminar… Haha!

Seeing bloody stars now and having the best sleep I have had since 2 months now after last night’s event!!!

Getting back into the events track since 4 years ago has really brought me back to reality of life to reassess my life to see where my strengths lay. My life story can be summarized into a few words: "organizing" " restless" " drive"

I get bored with things and situations very quickly…I thrive well only in a fast paced and ever changing enviornment which allows me room for creativity and every minute changes… so is events here to stay for me?

Well, it looks that way for now. With the year end calendar packed with my client’s D&D’s and event companies knocking on my door everyday for quote for corporate dinners, launches and parties, it looks like its going to be one fun filled and exciting (not to mention exhuasting!) hell-luv-a-ride for 2005 year end.

Am I looking forward to it? Well yes in a way…cept for the "occasional" 3hr sleep nights, endless "kopi oh kosong" 4pm breakfast cum lunch hours it should be one huge barrel of FUN.

Cheers ya all!

So to all my dear friends out there, I may be LATE in sending you your birthday greetings, wedding congrats, new job handshake yada yada…but you are never far from my thoughts and prayers! My love to you all!*
